How to setup IKEv2 VPN on Windows 8

Here you will find a detailed guide for setting up VPN connection by IKEv2 protocol on Windows 8 operating system. All you need is to repeat the following steps in your system. Simply complete all the actions as shown in the pictures.

Right click on Lan / Wi-Fi icon from System tray and click on Open Network and Sharing Center.

Choose Set up a new connection or network.

In appeared window select Connect to a workplace and click Next.

Select Use my Internet connection (VPN).

Insert the following settings: Check item Remember my credentials and click Create.

Click Change adapter settings from the Network and Sharing Center.

In appeared window right click on created connection and to select Properties.

Click on Security tab and set parameters:

On Networking tab uncheck items Internet Protocol version 6 and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, then click OK.

To establish VPN connection click on Lan / Wi-Fi icon from System tray, select created connection and click Connect.

Insert accounting data and click OK: Important Note: your VPN username & password is placed in file readme.txt (was sent to your email after ordering the subscription).

VPN connection will be established in few seconds. To disconnect click on Lan / Wi-Fi icon from System tray, select connection and click Disconnect.

If you need change address of VPN server - open properties of VPN connection (repeat steps 7-8), click on General tab and set new address of VPN server, then click OK.
