Shadowsocks is widely used to bypass restrictions in China, Iran and other countries with strict Internet censorship. This protocol was specially developed to overcome blocks - Shadowsocks simulates a HTTPS connection to a remote server, which makes it very difficult (almost impossible) to detect and block it. We recommend using this solution if other VPN configuration methods do not work.
